Every log built into your new home is responsibly sourced from family-owned businesses right here in northern Michigan. We've built with the highest quality pine for three generations.

Beaver Log Homes provides kiln-dried logs that have increased stability and are less susceptible to shrinkage. Before kiln-drying, each log is hand-peeled for faster drying. The logs are then machined with double tongues and grooves to help them self-align and interlock during assembly. This ensures that your walls are tightly sealed and stable, ultimately increasing the durability and long-term value of your home.

You can choose from a wide range of log sizes based on your preference. We can also source logs in other species of trees as required.

We also offer half logs and veneer siding options. You can select a half log with or without full round corners to fit a new or existing structure. Factory direct pricing is available for budget-driven projects.

Our locally sourced material provides unique characteristics that flow through the grain of every slat. We provide interior kits made of Michigan cedar or pine, in a flat profile or round log profile to match the outside of your home.

The style of cut used to finish the corners of your log home is a defining feature of the exterior. We always leave room for design creativity with a variety of available corner options.

Saddle Corner — the iconic log-cabin corner, logs saddled to nest with the perpendicular wall
Butt & Pass — alternating ends with one log running long past the other; clean and orderly
Structure Binding Corners — for bind-on applications to existing framing
Corner Posts — vertical posts with logs running into them; common in additions and dormers
