Beaver Log Homes
American Hero Cabin Program

A thank you for those who serve.

The same hand-crafted home — built to endure for generations — at a price that says thank you.

A flat 15% off, on every cabin package we sell.

No fine print on cabin size. No exclusions on log profile. No "qualifying models." If you serve — or have served — and you want to build a Beaver log home, you build it at 15% off.

This isn't a marketing program. It started because our founders watched the country change around them while three things didn't: the cost of a real home, the silence service members come home to, and the quiet way families like ours have always tried to do right by both. Fifteen percent isn't a fortune. But it's what we can give, and we give it on every package, every year, no matter what timber costs.

No. 01

Every cabin package

All five log profiles. All four diameters. From a 600 sq. ft. one-room cabin to a 4,000+ sq. ft. family home. The discount applies to the whole package.

No. 02

Material upgrades included

Interior wood packages, additional log courses, custom door and window cuts — if it's part of the package, it's part of the discount.

No. 03

Stackable with builder partners

Our 15% applies to the cabin package itself. You're free to work with any of our trusted builder partners for construction, and many extend their own pricing to service members on top of ours.

No. 04

Worldwide shipping

The discount travels. We ship across the U.S. and around the world. Whatever it costs to get your logs to you, the package itself comes in 15% lower.

Five categories. One standard.

If you've stood between the rest of us and what might have happened — in uniform, on a call, or on a shift — this program is for you.

Active Duty Military

All branches. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, and National Guard on active orders.

Military Veterans

Honorably discharged veterans of every era and branch. Reserve and National Guard veterans called to active duty are included.

Police & Sheriff

Sworn law enforcement officers — local, county, state, and federal. Retired officers with verified service welcome.

Fire & EMS

Firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians — career and volunteer. Retired members with verified service welcome.

Frontline Workers

Nurses, doctors, hospital staff, teachers, EMTs, and other frontline essential workers. We define "frontline" the way most of us do — the people who showed up.

How we verify: A current ID card, DD‑214, agency credentials, or a letter from your department is enough. We don't ask for extensive paperwork, and we don't share what you send us. If you're nominating someone — a parent, a neighbor, a fellow veteran — let us know in the application and we'll reach out to them directly.

Three generations later, we still owe them a roof.

We won't pretend a 15% discount solves what comes home with people. But we will say this: a country that knew how to build housing for its returning soldiers in 1946 has lost the thread, and the data on veteran homelessness today is something every American should sit with.

32,495
January 2025
U.S. military veterans were homeless on a single night — 13,518 of them unsheltered, sleeping in cars, parks, and places not meant for human habitation.

There is good news in the numbers. Veteran homelessness is the only category of homelessness in America that has gone down — by 55% since 2010, including a 7.5% drop just from 2023 to 2024. Three states — Connecticut, Delaware, and Virginia — have built systems sturdy enough that they have effectively ended veteran homelessness. It can be done.

But the burden is wildly uneven. California alone accounts for 28% of all homeless veterans in the country. The five states with the highest unsheltered rates — California, New Mexico, Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii — are all places where the cost of staying housed has outrun what a small veterans' pension or disability check can carry.

Our home state of Michigan counts 456 veterans without housing on the most recent night they were counted. They are not statistics to us. Some of them are our customers' parents. Some of them are our customers' brothers and sisters. We can build one of them a cabin only so often — but every time a veteran's family qualifies for the program, the math gets a little better.

"Ending homelessness comes down to three things: evidence-based design, resources at scale, and the will to keep a long-term commitment. Our leaders have honored that commitment to veterans." — National Alliance to End Homelessness, on the 2024 data

Our Commitment

We can't build every veteran a cabin. So we build the ones we can, better.

Every Beaver log home is hand-crafted in Kalkaska, Michigan, from timber we mill ourselves. Double tongue-and-groove logs. Saddle corners. The same standards apply to every package we ship — Hero Program or not. The discount is what changes. The home doesn't.
